I am all in when it comes to Freedom of Religion...whether you believe or not and what you believe in is up to you. I am also pro celebrating accomplishment. What happend at this school and to this team is ridiculous beyond words. I hope some slovenly atheist somewhere is very proud of themselves for taking away this kid's and his team's achievement because they didn't believe in the God that he believes in...and God forbid he celebrated because he won the race. FOR SHAME!!!
Why any school would have a 'anti-celebration' rule for winning any sport is beyond me. If this is the society kids are growing up in, I'm thankful I don't have any children to contribute. Lord knows I cannot afford to have one, much less homeschool one to keep them from the world that is currently going more and more crazy with making sure that nobody is offended. Offended that you are no longer allowed to celebrate success, and yet underachievers receive medals and praise just for showing up. Its a screwed up disgusting mess of misplaced priorities and I would advise this kid to do running as a hobby and forget about school sports. What's the point?
